The rotary clothesline covers fits all folding rotary and traditional Hills Hoist clotheslines that are square and 3.8m - 4m in diameter.

How Do I Measure?

Measuring is easy! Only ONE simple measurement is required!

You will need -

  • 1 x measuring tape
  • Someone to hold the other end of the tape for you
  • Pen and paper writing down your measurement.


How to measure a rotary clothesline for a rotary clothesline cover
As shown in the image displayed, just measure your clothesline on the diagonal from the tip of one arm, through the center of the clothesline to the end of the opposite arm. (A - B)

There you have it. This is the only measurement you will need.

Things to note

  • you don't want to go up and over the top of the clothesline. Just measure straight from one corner to the opposite corner in a straight line on the diagonal
  • you need to measure the length of 2 arms
  • you do not need to measure any of the four sides.
  • All rotary clothesline covers are a square. Some rotary clotheslines may need there strings adjusted to place them back into alignment and make them square again.

Exactly what I wanted

Not right fit

I assumed 4m was 4m x 4m not 4m x 3.8m so it doesnt really fit sadly.

Thanks for the note. All our covers are square with the 4m cover being 4150mm x 4150mm which fits 3.8m - 4m diameter clotheslines.

I would suggest that your clothesline is not square which is most likely the issue. You maybe able to square it up with retensioning of the lines to get it back to a more square shape as it should be.

Installation

Installation was easy, the trick is to allow the clothes line to fold up a bit to get the ends of the line to sit in the corner pockets of the cover. The installation can be done with one person.

Easy installation. Works well.

Despite some confusing instructions, assembling and securing with one person in less than half an hour was straightforward. It works well to protect clothes from the scorching summer elements (I haven't tested it in the rain yet, but it appears well-designed and constructed, so I can't foresee any issues).

The sales team was helpful and ensured correct product size prior to shipping.

4.0 m clothesline Cover

It's ok I suppose - it does not seem to sit properly - we followed all the instructions but it does not sit right and there are gaps between the sections - we also loose our whole outside line on the 4 sides for Velcro tabs - it's ok I suppose but I thought it would fit better than this.

Excellent Cover !

I really like the cover and it is sturdy and strong. The cover is light and easy to put up, as long as you have two people and two people to take it down, especially if the wind is getting strong. I didn't know it would need two long poles, I was looking for one that just tied on to the frame. It does make putting the cover on and off a bit more effort than I was expecting. But it is a great item and I am very happy with the product.

Rotsry clothesline clover

Velcro ties did not fit. Too short. Purchased cable ties to overcome issue. Holding straps at top are too long. Clothesline 40 years old so not 100% fit for purpose. Aside from this happy with product
